Getting help

ICoN-PCL is still being built, so there is no instrument queue to escalate into yet. There is still a team, and there are resources you can use today, so here is how to reach help for both.

Help with nanoHUB

For simulation tools, AURA, Sim2Ls or anything else on the platform that will host ICoN-PCL, nanoHUB runs its own established support and ticketing system.

Facility access today

Birck and MMRL both take external users now through Purdue's recharge system. For current instrument access, contact the facility directly.

ICoN-PCL staff stay involved through a user's whole research journey, not only at onboarding.

How support will work once services open

  1. Staff alongside the AI

ICoN-PCL staff will guide and support users from recruitment through training and research execution. The research assistant is a force multiplier for that team, not a replacement for it.

  2. Ticketing on proven infrastructure

Remote users will report issues through nanoHUB's established ticketing system, with the Program Manager coordinating internal response together with the Technical Director.

  3. Routed to the people who own the instrument

The Engineering and Technician Team is responsible for physical and digital assets, covering installation, management, and upgrades, and is assigned the corresponding tickets directly.

  4. Feedback that changes the service

Pre- and post-surveys run through recruiting, onboarding, and research execution. The Evaluation Team analyzes them with area leads specifically to find and remove user pain points.

Accessibility

This portal aims to be usable by keyboard alone, readable at narrow widths, and legible without relying on color to convey meaning. If something here blocks you, that is a bug worth reporting. Please tell us what assistive technology you were using.
